This fireplace is another example of what we can be achieved even when there is no existing chimney. With only a very slim false chimney breast, we were able to give our client a full depth cassette fire which flues directly through the outside wall. The client wanted as big a fire as possible set within a simple limestone surround. The room was previously a double garage so it had large proportions. We added a double step hearth to give the fireplace more presence. Our client also specially requested that the mantel shelf be big enough to hold the clock seen in the photograph.
