This house in Lenzie is a good example of what can be achieved by creating a 'false' chimney breast built simply using timber stud and plaster board and finished with skirting board and plaster cornicing. Our client wanted a fireplace that would look timeless, cosy and elegant. We achieved this by designing a simple solid stone surround with a traditional fire scone chamber and polished granite hearth. The high output gas stove has a balanced flue which vents directly through the outside wall.
